Betty Jean Boes

Mrs. Betty Jean Boes, age 89 years of Fremont, went Home to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, May 7, 2016.  She was born on July 14, 1926 in Holland, Michigan to Garrit & Georgann (Nyland) Hooker.  Betty had been employed for many years at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility as a Nurses Aid and LPN, she had been a Hospice Volunteer, and she was a member of Reeman Christian Reformed Church.  On August 16, 1944 she married Arthur Boes and he preceded her in death on October 27, 1994.  She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Gary Bitson; by her brother, Henry Hooker; by her brother-in-law, Harley Boes; and by her sister-in-law, Beatrice Boes.  She is survived by her children:  Marcia (Ken) Lubbers of Fremont, Dwayne (Ruth) Boes of Muskegon, Linda (Richard) Rought of Fremont, Nyla (Denny) Caverly of Traverse City, Cindy Bitson of Baldwin, Judy (Phil) DeVowe of Twin Lake, April (Tom Nyman) Cox of Twin Lake; 22 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, & 3 great great grandchildren; 1 sister, Geraldine Rottman of New Mexico; and 2 sisters-in-law, Shirley Hooker & Marlene Boes both of Fremont.  The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Reeman Christian Reformed Church (6121 S. Fitzgerald Ave) with Pastor Les VanDyke officiating.  Interment will be in Reeman Cemetery.  Visitation will also be at the church from 6-8 PM on Monday, and from 10-11 AM on Tuesday.  Suggested Memorial:  The Fremont Area Community Foundation for the Reeman Christian Reformed Church Endowment Fund.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.
