Betty Ann (Stocking) DeVisser

Mrs. Betty Ann DeVisser, age 74 years of Fremont, passed away on Sunday afternoon, March 19, 2017 at her home.  She was born on April 5, 1942 in Fremont, Michigan to Murry & Princess (Warner) Stocking.  She had been a telephone operator for the Telephone Company in Fremont, and she had been the Sherman Township Cemetery Caretaker for 30 plus years.  Betty loved her cows, grandkids, and her flowers.  On December 21, 1963 she married Gordon DeVisser and he preceded her in death on March 20, 2014.  She was also preceded in death by her son Hurley DeVisser on March 23, 2002, and by her parents.  She is survived by 3 children:  Vonda (Harlan) Tollefson of Jenison, Karl DeVisser of Fremont, Leanne (Kevin) Klemundt of Hesperia; daughter-in-law, Annette DeVisser of White Cloud; Hurley's former fiancee, Becky (Rodger) Aishe of Newaygo; her honorary son, Donny VanDyk of Texas; 7 grandchildren:  Felicia (Josh), Tyler (Heather), Kayley, Alexa, Eric, Jacob, & Karissa; 5 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Nellie (Jack) Pikaart of Fremont; 1 brother, Dexter Stocking of Fremont; sisters-in-law:  Nellie Cole, Lillian (Glen) Kidner; brother-in-law, Sherwood (Anita) DeVisser; and many nieces & nephews.  The Funeral Service will be  held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Country Bible Church (3145 W. 24th Street) with Pastor Mike Haefner officiating.  Visitation will be at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home from 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Thursday.
