Mrs. Beverly "Bev" Joyce Pletcher, age 86 years of Hesperia, passed away on Tuesday morning, January 24, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Muskegon. She was born on February 26, 1930 in Muskegon, Michigan to George Denzel & Hazel Vida (Homan) Mendham. Bev had been employed by Misco Howmet Corporation in Whitehall for many years until her retirement, and she loved to dance. On July 3, 1947 she married Carl "Butch" Pletcher and he preceded her in death on October 7, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents; by her son-in-law, Steve Deming on March 28, 2015; by her brother, Gerald Mendham; and by her sisters, Myrtle Archambault & Shirley Binns. Bev is survived by 6 children: Gary (Candi) Pletcher of Corunna, MI., Starr (Terry) Gleason of Hesperia, MI., Anna Deming of Hickory Corners, MI., Judy (Dick) Wallis of Greenville, MI., Robin (David) Luke of Ludington, MI., Randi (Jim) Walker of Ionia, MI.; 20 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, & 3 great great grandchildren; 1 brother, Robert (JoAnn) Bower of Whitehall, MI.; 2 sisters-in-law: JoAnn Mendham of Florida, Florence Anderson of Hesperia, MI.; by many nieces & nephews; and by her dearest friends, William Taylor & Mattie Fife. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Hesperia Baptist Church (115 N. Smith Street) with her dear friend Pastor James Jackson officiating. Interment will be in West Hesperia Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home from 2-5 PM on Sunday.
