You were the best Dad in the whole world, you will always be missed. You always had my back and words of encouragement. You were a great provider, I never remember needing for anything as a child. Love you so. Connie

For my dear brother Bob:

I remember when he was very young and wanted to walk with my friend and me down a hot sandy road. He was barefooted, and in order to keep up with us, we had to push the hot sand back so that he could walk on the cooler dirt and not burn the soles of his feet. Bobby Joe, as family called him,, went to much pain just to keep up with his big sister.

Bob had many stumbling blocks in his life, and we often considered them during our telephone conversations over the years. His eyesight, especially kept him behind in school until a kind teacher convinced our mother that he desperately needed glasses. He was my little brother, and we cared for each other.

Bob was a good person, but I had been concerned about his relationship with the Lord until dear Gladys told me about his sharing with her his conversion experience in a little country church when he was a lad. I was reminded of that time, that church, and was grateful for the peace of mind knowing that Bob is now in a better place.

For the past several years when Bob and Gladys visited in Missouri, he told me how happy he was and how much his life had improved sharing it with Gladys. When he began to have health problems, he had many treatments and was able at first to return to repairing lawn mowers, but this last time, the return to health did not occur.

i know that God has a plan for each of our lives. After much suffering, God took Bob to heaven to spend eternity with Him on Christmas Day. It's our loss, but heaven's gain, and what a blessing for Bob, his family, and Gladys.

May God bless each one of you as you work for Him until you too are called. I plan to meet my brother Bob and will remember our love for each other until we meet again in heaven.

I have so many wonderful memories of Uncle Bob and of each of you, Connie, Donnie, Duper, and Randy. We were little cousins together, grew apart as we got older, but some relationships are never ever forgotten. I have those memories because Uncle Bob believed in the importance of keeping family connected and brought you down to be with the cousins in Missouri. When I had the wonderful opportunity to visit in MIchigan, he spoke proudly and lovingly of each of you. You each made him smile.

It is that smile in the picture that is the smile I remember. For all the good times, I wish you peace and Uncle Bob rest and continued happiness. Fondly, to you all and to Gladys who showed the love and dedication he deserved. Elaine
