Debra Lynn (VanderWoude) Kruithoff

After a heroic battle with cancer, Debra Lynn Kruithoff, 60 of Hesperia, passed away on April 11, 2017 in her home surrounded by her accomplishments. While Deb didn't finish college or have a glamorous career...she did help run multiple family businesses. She also spent 41 years of her life married to the same wonderful man. She gave birth to, and successfully raised, four wonderful children and blessed the lives of many friends. Debbie filled her summers with gardens of flowers and vegetables. She filled countless pantries full of her beautiful canned "jewels". She filled the years of her life with her family, a whole bunch of love and laughter, and she gave the best hugs and advice a person could find. She is survived by her grandmother, Jean Sheldon of Neshkoro, WI, parents, Al and Marilyn VanderWoude of Grant, her husband, Kenneth Kruithoff, brothers Rick(Katherine), Scott(Karen)and Brian VanderWoude, her children Kimberly (Clarence) Smith, Kelly (Kris) Carpenter, Kenneth (Kristi) Kruithoff Jr., Allison Kruithoff, and 12 grandchildren.  Deb is also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces & nephews, aunts, uncles, & cousins.  A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Reeman Christian Reformed Church (6121 S. Fitzgerald Ave) with Pastor Les VanDyke officiating.  There will also be a time of visiting with the family at the church from 1-2 PM on Thursday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to Newaygo County Cares for Cause for the Spectrum Health Cancer Center at Gerber Memorial.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
