Donald John Milner

Mr. Donald John Milner, age 71 years of Fremont, went to be with his Lord & Savior on Sunday evening, December 10, 2017.  He was born on September 27, 1946 in Hart, Michigan to John & Virginia (Nichols) Milner.  Don retired in 2002 after 38 years at the Knoll Group (Shaw-Walker) in Muskegon.  He also worked as a wrecker driver at Dave's Towing in Fremont for many years, and he was a member of Church of the Living Christ in Fremont.  Before his illness he loved to hunt in deer season & turkey season.  He liked to buy and sell collectibles and toy trucks and pedal tractors.  Don loved his family and the times spent with his grandchildren.  He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joyce (Mullennix) Milner who he married on May 14, 1965; 2 sons:  Donald John (Yvette) Milner, Jr. & children John T. (JT) & Olivia of Bandera, TX, Rodney T. (Christine) Milner & children Sydney & Sarah of Collierville, TN; 1 sister, Barbara Ball of Hesperia; 1 brother, William (Virginia) Milner of Hesperia; sister-in-law, Lois (Bill) Sponhauer of Walkerville; brothers-in-law, Tom (Pat) Mullennix of Twin Lake, Dave Mullennix of Fremont, Richard (JoAnne) Mullennix of Fruitport, Raymond (Yoko) Mullennix of Lakewood, Washington; and many nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; by his brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Don & Shirley Anderson; and by his sister-in-law, Carolyn Mullennix.  According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Church of the Living Christ in Fremont (605 Hemlock) with Rev. Dr. Tom Jasperse officiating.  There will also be a time of visiting with the family at the church from 10-11 AM on Saturday.  Interment will be in East Hesperia Cemetery.  Suggested Memorials:  Church of the Living Christ for either Missions or for the ARK.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
