Dorothy (Sattler) Boos

Dorothy (Sattler) Boos, age 90 of Bitely, Michigan (formerly of Perrysburg, Ohio), passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Sanctuary at McAuley in Muskegon, Michigan, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born August 31, 1926 in Perrysburg, Ohio to Henry Joseph and Margaret (Cassidy) Sattler.  After attending Perrysburg High School, she worked at the Lion Store and for Western Union before marrying Glenn Boos, also of Perrysburg.  They were married for 55 years and lived in Perrysburg, Ohio until they moved to Bitely, Michigan in 1974.  Spending time with family was most important to her.  She also enjoyed making a variety of crafts for family, everything from Christmas ornaments to large framed jigsaw puzzles.  So very sweet and demure, she was the most caring person one would ever know.  She will be greatly missed by those who loved her.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; her grandson, Todd Ritterbach; her parents; brothers:  Joseph, William, Paul, Robert, and John Sattler; sisters:  Mary Agnes Sattler, Cecelia Barnes, Margaret Lengel, and Rita Clements.  Left to cherish her memory are her children:  Nancy (Jeff) Wellman of Perrysburg, Ohio, Emil Boos (Bonnie) of Bitely, Michigan, Donna Duncan of Chesapeake, Virginia, Judy (Mickey) Frye of Monticello, Kentucky, Garry (Cindy) Boos of Muskegon, Michigan, Joyce (Kevin) Rees of Kalkaska, Michigan, and Bruce (Mary) Boos of Brohman, Michigan.  She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.  Visitation will be at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home in Fremont, Michigan on Friday, April 14, 2017 from 6-8 PM, and on Saturday from 11-1 PM.  The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home with Pastors Mike VanKampen and Lucky Fulton officiating.
