Dorothy Mae (Konkel) Philo

Mrs. Dorothy Mae Philo, age 89 years of Fremont, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday morning, August 30, 2017 at her home.  She was born on December 8, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan to Frank & Helen (Blotkamp) Konkel.  Dorothy enjoyed baking, crocheting, playing shuffleboard & cards, and family gatherings.  She also loved to play the piano and organ.  On December 4, 1949 she married Max D. Philo and he survives her along with 3 children:  Michael (Kelly) Philo of Fremont, Max (Brenda) Philo, Jr. of Spring, Texas, Tammy (Stuart) Rector of Norton Shores; 8 grandchildren & 16 great grandchildren; and 1 brother, Frank Konkel of Fremont.  She was preceded in death by her sister Mary Furr, and by her brother Arthur Konkel.  Private family services will be held, and interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
