Ferris Joseph VanZant

Mr. Ferris Joseph VanZant, age 74 years of Fremont, passed away on Sunday evening, March 4, 2018 at Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial in Fremont.  He was born on October 18, 1943 in Onaway, Michigan to Joseph Leonard & Zelda Ann (Dean) VanZant.  Ferris was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era, and he had been employed at Versatile Wood Solutions in Nunica until his retirement in 2005.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing poker, & spending time with his grandson.  Survivors include his daughter, Amy VanZant of Fremont; step-daughter, Shelly Thompson of Fremont; 1 grandson, Patrick Robins; 2 brothers & 1 sister:  Leonard (Esther) VanZant, Judy (Jack) Roberts, Harvey (Vickie) VanZant.  Ferris was preceded in death by his parents, and by his brother Joseph VanZant.  The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Force, Sr. officiating.  Visitation will be from 10-11 AM on Thursday.  Interment will be in the Spring at Bridgeton Township Cemetery.  Suggested Memorial:  Newaygo County Veterans Affairs.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
