Gladys E. White

Mrs. Gladys E. White, age 96 years of Fremont, went to be with her Lord & Savior on Thursday morning, October 26, 2017.  She was born on December 4, 1920 in Fremont, Michigan to John & Anna Poll, and was adopted at an early age by Cornelius & Bertha (Wyngarden) Westra.  Gladys was one of the first members of First Baptist Church in Fremont.  On March 6, 1948 she married Stillman White and he preceded her in death on May 15, 2001.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Harlan & Willis Poll; and by her sisters, Marie & Tressa Poll.  Gladys is survived by 6 children:  Cynthia & Allen Villanueva of Sevierville, Tennessee, Bonnie Lee & Ron Shafer of North Muskegon, Connie & Jay Hicks of Grant, Stillman Stewart (White) & Greg Stewart of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Niles & Linda White of Fremont, Bernard & Sherry White of Fremont; 26 grandchildren & 32 great grandchildren.  The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 30, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Fremont (51 W. Oak Street) with Dr. Steve Witter officiating.  There will be a time of visiting with the family at the church from 10-11 AM on Monday.  Interment will be in Reeman Cemetery.  Suggested Memorial:  First Baptist Church of Fremont.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
