Ida Mae "Peg" (O'Neill) Comer

Mrs. Ida Mae "Peg" Comer, age 92 years of Fremont, passed away on Saturday evening, May 20, 2017.  She was born on March 18, 1925 in North Branch, Michigan to Russell & Velma (Garbutt) O'Neill.  She had been an LPN at Gerber Memorial Hospital for 32 years until her retirement.  Peg liked to knit & crochet, and she made many baby blankets for family and friends.  She also enjoyed gardening & birds.  Peg married Herbert H. Comer in 1945 and he preceded her in death in 1966.  She was also preceded in death by her loving companion of 25 years, Albert Rogers on March 11, 2002; by 3 grandchildren:  Erica Conley, Baylee Curtice, & Chase Curtice; and by her brothers & sister:  Bruce & Moe O'Neill, Ruthann Laur, & John & Marjorie O'Neill.  Survivors include 2 daughters:  Carole (Jack White) VanAgtmael of Fremont, Cindy Kraley of Fremont; 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, & 1 great great granddaughter; her extended family, Duane & Elvira Rogers and their families; 1 brother, James (Beverly) O'Neill; and 1 sister, Marilyn Burns.  The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 26, 2017 at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Hane officiating.  Visitation will also be on Friday from 10-11 AM.  Interment will be in Sherman Township Cemetery, and a luncheon will follow at the Hesperia United Methodist Church.  Suggested Memorials:  Hesperia United Methodist Church, the Hesperia Community Library, or Heartland Hospice - Newaygo County.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
