Jessie H. (Luchies) Pell

Mrs. Jessie H. Pell, age 96 of Fremont, went to be with her Lord & Savior late Tuesday evening, March 13, 2018 at her home.  She was born on January 23, 1922 in Fremont, Michigan to John Herman & Jennie (Breuker) Luchies.  Jessie was a charter member of Trinity Christian Reformed Church in Fremont, where she had been involved in many aspects of the church.  She enjoyed visiting people, and she lived her faith.  She had also been involved in Right to Life in Newaygo County for 24 years, serving several years as president.  Jessie also enjoyed gardening and baking.  On June 28, 1946 she married Marvin M. Pell, and her husband of 65 1/2 years preceded her in death on December 27, 2011.  Jessie was also preceded in death by her son, Jerry Pell; by her son-in-law, Steven Bouwamp; by her brothers:  Marvin Luchies & Rev. Vernon Luchies; and by her sister, Marjorie Witte.  She is survived by her children:  Randy (Ann) Pell of Fremont, John (Patricia) Pell of Fremont, Rodney (Sharon) Pell of Spring Lake, Julie Bouwkamp of Grant; daughter-in-law, Nancy Pell of Howard City; 15 grandchildren & 23 great grandchildren; and by her sister-in-law, Ruth Bultman.  The family would also like to thank the staff of Harbor Hospice for their care, and for the care of her two caregivers, Pam & Hayleigh.  The Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Trinity Christian Reformed Church in Fremont (539 E. Pine Street) with Pastor Ron Baker officiating. Visitation will also be at the church from 1:30-3:00 PM on Sunday.  Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Gideons International, or to Harbor Hospice.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
