John Joseph Gazda

Mr. John Joseph Gazda, age 89 years of Hesperia, passed away on Monday morning, September 5, 2016 at Life Path Hospice in Ruskin, Florida.  He was born on June 7, 1927 in Fairpoint, Ohio to Florian & Magdalena (Brynarski) Gazda.  John was a US Marine Raider with the 1st Battalion during World War II, and he had been a set up engineer at Massey Fergusson.  He was the last of 13 children, and he was the widower of Susanne (Florence) Schatz-Gazda who passed away in 2007.  John is survived by 5 children:  Barbara (Gazda) & Dan McMillan, Elizabeth Gazda, John L. & Diane Gazda, Phillip & Corinne Gazda, Suzanne (Gazda) Lytle; grandchildren: Melinda Deming (Scott), Daniel McMillan, Jeffrey McMillan (Lindsey), Patrick McMillan (Crystal), Bruce Harvey (Ashley), Kelly Sisco, Eric Gazda (Christine), Adam Gazda (Chrissy), Tristan Gazda, Scott Gazda (Kristen), Stephanie Anderson (Casey), Emilee Erdman (Joseph), Andrew Erdman (Stephanie), and Meghan Lytle; and 24 great grandchildren. Our father has requested floral arrangements in red, white, and blue in honor of his loyalty and dedication to our Nation.  Suggested Memorials:  The American Heart Association, or The National Parkinson's Foundation.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, September 16, 2016 at St.Michael's Catholic Church in Brunswick, MI. with Fr.
