Welcome to the memorial page for

Ken Rottier

May 14, 2017

Kenneth W. (Ken) Rottier, age 78 of Fremont, went to be with the Lord May 14, 2017 due to heart complications.  He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ruth (Rindels), son Douglas (Andrea) of Florida, and son-in-law David Kamps of Grand Rapids.  Five grandchildren:  Jordan and Tyler Kamps, Avery, Kellen, and Aidan Rottier. Sister-in-law, Nancy Rottier of Fremont.  His wife's brother Kenneth Rindels of Phoenix, AZ., and her sister Marlene (John) Visser of Sheboygan, WI.  He was preceded in death by his daughter Lynnae Kamps, and by his brother Robert Rottier.  He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He hauled bulk milk from area farmers to Country Fresh Dairy in the 70's and 80's, sold tires for Michelin Tire Corp. in Phoenix for the five years he lived there, and he hauled new and used trailers for Freightliner of Grand Rapids for fifteen years.  Having loved John Deere tractors all his life, he was excited to cut hay and chisel for Stroven Farms driving the big ones.  He loved hunting deer and woodchucks with his wife and was a marksmen.  No squirrel or chipmunk had the pleasure of eating bird seed with Ken around.  He never met a stranger and could talk to anyone.  He loved all the people he served with Foods "R" Us Concession business, especially the many horse shows in various cities.  Members of the family will receive relatives and friends at Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 2-5 PM, and at the church from 10-11 AM on Monday.  Memorial Services will be held Monday, May 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM at First Christian Reformed Church, 721 Hillcrest Drive, Fremont with Pastor Bernie Blauwkamp and Pastor Paul Ruzinsky officiating.  He was active in the men's ministry at Resonate Church, and in lieu of flowers would appreciate memorials to Camp Freedom Men's Ministry.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
