Kenneth L. Henderson

Mr. Kenneth L. Henderson, age 93 years of Fremont, passed away on Wednesday evening, August 24, 2016 at Spectrum Health Blodgett Hospital in East Grand Rapids.  He was born on December 2, 1922 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Clarence O. & Frances C. (Page) Henderson.  He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II, and he was a member of Reeman Christian Reformed Church.  Ken had owned & operated South Side Marine & the Dunn Inn Resort, both in Fremont. He was also an avid sportsman, and he loved car racing.  On August 12, 1967 he married Jean Myers and she survives him along with 3 children:  Diean & Bob Bayle, Carol & Brian Frens, Robert & Pam Radbone; 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, & 14 great great grandchildren; 1 sister-in-law, Marian Henderson; many nieces & nephews; and special friend, William Playter.  Ken was preceded in death by his brothers:  Beryl Henderson, Clarence Henderson, Jr., Bruce Henderson, & Donald Henderson; and by his sisters, June O'Dell & Jean Koening.  The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Reeman Christian Reformed Church (6121 S. Fitzgerald Ave) with Pastor Les VanDyke officiating.  Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.  Visitation will be at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home from 6-8 PM on Thursday, and at the church from 10-11 AM on Friday.  Suggested Memorial:  Spectrum Health Hospice.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
