Lee Lannette (Neibarger) Smith

Mrs. Lee Lannette Smith, age 53 years of Fremont, passed away on Thursday morning, July 7, 2016 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids after a short battle with cancer.  She was born on July 27, 1962 in Fremont, Michigan to LeRoy "Pete" & Sandra (Schotanus) Neibarger.  Lee graduated from Fremont High School in 1981.  She was currently employed at Gerber Federal Credit Union, and she had previously worked at Old State Bank.  Lee loved to work in her yard, and she was dedicated to following all of the sporting events of her boys.  On April 11, 1987 she married Scott J. Smith and he survives her along with 3 sons:  Nathan, Dylan, & Jared; 3 grandchildren:  Xander, Roman, & Brody; her mother, Sandy Neibarger; 3 sisters:  Cindy (Ron) Maike, Nancy Pell, Joddie (Bruce) Crawford; her mother-in-law, Vera Smith; sister-in-law, Wendy (Chris) Wilbur; and many nieces & nephews.  Lee was preceded in death by her daughter, Nicole Neibarger; by her father, LeRoy "Pete" Neibarger; by her father-in-law, James Smith; and by her grand niece, Raelynn Crawford.  It was Lee's request that you dress casual for the Funeral Service which will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Reeman Christian Reformed Church (6121 S. Fitzgerald) with Pastor Les VanDyke officiating.  Interment will be in Garfield Township Cemetery.  It was also Lee's request that you dress casual for the visitation which will be held at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home from 5-8 PM on Monday.  Suggested Memorial:  DeVos Children's Cancer Center.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
