Sally Jane (Weiden) Handy

Mrs. Sally Jane Handy, age 78 years of White Cloud, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday morning, January 12, 2017.  She was born on May 9, 1938 in Fremont, Michigan to Dick & Maeona (Dykman) Weiden.  Sally had been a Registered Nurse at Gerber Memorial Hospital in Fremont for 36 years until her retirement in 2000, and she had been a camp nurse for Christian Horizons for many years.  She was a member of Aetna Calvary Church, where she had been a Sunday School Teacher. She had also been a member of the Aetna Missionary Circle for many years, where she had served as their treasurer.  Sally was known for the way that she encouraged many people with her greeting card ministry.  On October 13, 1961 she married Larry J. Handy and he survives her along with 2 children, 4 grandchildren, & 1 great grandson:  Jane (Don) Curtis of White Cloud and their twin daughters Elizabeth & Emily Curtis; Dan (Christi) Handy of Fremont and their 2 sons and grandson:  D.J. (Jessie) Handy & their son Finnian Handy, and Derek Handy.  Sally is also survived by 3 sisters:  Norma (Stan) Sterk, Barbara (Gary) Gritter, Linda (Craig) Allen; by 1 brother, Tim (Kathy) Weiden; and by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 16, 2017 at Aetna Calvary Church (3944 W. One Mile Road) with Pastors Phil Jones & Ron Workman officiating.  Interment will be in Lincoln Township Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home from 2-4 PM on Sunday, and at the church from 10-11 AM on Monday.  Suggested Memorials:  Fountain View Retirement Village of Fremont, or House of Hope.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
