Shem Abraham VanDoren

Mr. Shem Abraham VanDoren, age 40 years of Muskegon, passed away suddenly on Friday evening, May 26, 2017 at his residence.  He was born on September 25, 1976 in Adrian, Michigan to Ronald Keith & Margaret (Valdes) VanDoren.  Shem was currently employed by Chassix in Montague, and had previously been employed by Herman Miller in Grand Haven.  He is survived by his wife, Mindy (Skuse) VanDoren; 5 children:  Kaleb (Ashley Sparrow) Skuse, Natalie, Story, Olivia, & Shia VanDoren; 1 grandson, Jace Skuse; his mother, Margaret (Mark) Parker of Muskegon; his sister, Lisa (Don) Gallant of Tennessee; 2 nieces:  Jaimie Gallant of Adrian, MI., Aiyana Gallant of Tennessee; 1 nephew, Kristopher Gallant of Tennessee; and several aunts, uncles, & cousins.  Shem was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Keith VanDoren.  A celebration of Shem's life will take place beginning at 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the home of his mother, Margaret Parker, 4090 Holton Road, Muskegon, MI.  49445 with Pastor Paul Urban officiating.  A luncheon and time to visit with the family will follow the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to his mother, Margaret Parker, to help with funeral expenses.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.
