Timothy Wayne Best Sr.

Mr. Timothy Wayne Best Sr., age 50 years of Newaygo, passed away unexpectedly Friday morning, February 10, 2017 at Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 15, 1966 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Robert & Joyce (Nisewonger) Best. Tim proudly served his country in the United States Army, and had been deployed to Bosnia & Herzegovina, as well as Kuwait. Tim worked for Spartan Graphics in Sparta for many years. He was also a motorcycle enthusiast. On December 11, 1987 he married Kimberly Ashcraft, and she survives him along with 2 children: Timothy Best II of Newaygo, Amanda (Fiance Dylan Darga) of Muskegon; 1 grandson: Nash Grimard of Newaygo; 2 brothers: Walt Best of Sparta, Scott (Molly) Best of Sparta; 1 sister; Tammy (Craig) Weller of Sparta; along with many nieces & nephews, brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, and his Ripka extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents. Military Rites to honor Staff Sergeant Timothy Best Sr. will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, February 24, 2017 the Newaygo VFW Post #4249.
