Vivian M. (Sorensen) Young

Mrs. Vivian M. Young, age 84 years of Holton, passed away on Friday morning, April 7, 2017 at Sanctuary at the Oaks in Muskegon.  She was born on August 2, 1932 in Muskegon, Michigan to Soren & Hilda (VanderKooi) Sorensen.  Vivian was retired from Howmet, had previously worked at DeKuiper's Clothing Store, and she was a member of Holton United Methodist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husbands, Douglas Young & Harold Cook; and by 2 brothers, Gordon & Harold Sorensen.  She is survived by her special friend, Mel Anderson of Holton; 3 children:  Steven (Phyllis) Young of Holton, Clieve (Sandy) Young of Holton, Amy (John) Brookhouse of Holton; 8 grandchildren & 13 great grandchildren; and 2 brothers:  Bill (Pat) Sorensen, & Bob Sorensen.  The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Holton United Methodist Church (9530 Holton Duck Lake Road) with Pastor Jerry Selleck officiating.  Visitation will also be at the church from 1-2 PM on Tuesday.  Interment will be in Oakwood-Holton Cemetery.  Suggested Memorial:  The Holton United Methodist Church Youth Building Fund.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
