Katie Nicole Schullo, age 45 of Morley, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 22, 2024. She was born on March 25, 1978 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Joel & Teri (Dekkers) Rodriguez. Kate graduated from Grant High School, and she had worked for Greenville Steel & Supply. She enjoyed hanging out with family and friends, she was a NASCAR fan, and she liked throwing darts & going to concerts. Kate battled many health issues for many years, but she always did it with a smile on her face. On May 14, 2016 she married Joseph Schullo and he survives her along with her parents, Joel & Teri Rodriguez; brother, Chris (Kathy) Rodriguez; father-in-law, Fred (Diane) Schullo; several brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law; many nieces & nephews, aunts, uncles, & cousins. She is also survived by her best friend, Jennie Mirkle. Katie was blessed with many non biological children and grandchildren who all brought her immeasurable happiness. Spoiling and tickling them brought her such joy and they all knew when they saw Grandma Taco, the giggles would begin. She was preceded in death by all of her grandparents. We will be Celebrating the light and love that was Kate on April 6, 2024 at the Newaygo VFW Hall on M37 south of Newaygo from 1-5 PM ish. Sharing love, laughter, and escapades of Katie's life. Luncheon, coffee, tea, punch will be provided. Please bring your memories to share. No formal ceremony, just love, hugs and good times. A benefit dinner is also being planned for April 20, 2024 at the Morley American Legion. More details to follow. In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe is being set up to help with expenses.
