Arthur Balcom Obituary

Mr. Arthur C. Balcom, age 81 years of Fremont & formerly of Hesperia, passed away on Monday morning, December 10, 2018 at Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial in Fremont. He was born on October 9, 1937 in Hesperia, Michigan to Earl & Ruth (Gurney) Balcom. Art had worked for a Tree Service Company in Bitely, and for the Hesperia Department of Public Works. On October 28, 1978 he married Mary Slocum and she survives him along with 2 sisters: Laura Balcom & Alice VanHemert; sisters-in-law: Lucille Balcom, Fern Balcom, Sue Balcom, & Sarah Fuller; and brother-in-law, Richard Slocum. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Earl Balcom, Jr., Justus Balcom, Gordon Balcom, Ray Balcom, OraDon Balcom, & William "Bob" Balcom; and by his sister Vera Smith. There will be no visitation or service at this time. Interment will be in the Spring of 2019 at East Hesperia Cemetery. You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.
