Carl P. Sneller

Mr. Carl P. Sneller, age 87 years of Jenison & formerly of Fremont, joined his wife in Heaven on Saturday evening, Christmas Eve, December 24, 2016.  He was born on January 18, 1929 in Fremont, Michigan to Benjamin & Jennie (Poppe) Sneller.  He had owned & operated Sneller Orchards near Reeman until his retirement.  Carl raised his family in Reeman Christian Reformed Church.  He later became a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont, and he was currently a member of 12th Avenue Christian Reformed Church in Jenison.  He loved to travel and enjoyed spending many of his winters in Arizona.  On June 9, 1949 he married Virginia Hooker and she preceded him in death on September 24, 2010.  He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Laurel Sneller; by his grandson, Brent Sneller; by his sisters:  Pauline Berens, Virginia Landheer, and Evelyn Deur; and by his brother, John Sneller.  Carl is survived by 10 children:  Kathy Davelaar, Pat (Arie) Knoester, Andy (Celia) Sneller, Norm (Kathy) Sneller, Tom (Leigh) Sneller, Mark (Ann) Sneller, Ron (Cindy) Sneller, Scott (Sue) Sneller, Cal (Joy) Sneller, Jodi Hossink; a host of grandchildren & great grandchildren; 3 sisters:  Margaret VanderWall, Dorothy (Paul) Assink, Betty (Fred) VanDyke; 1 brother, Paul Sneller; several brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law; and many nieces & nephews.  The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 2, 2017 at First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont (721 Hillcrest Drive) with Rev. James Evenhouse officiating.  Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.  Visitation will also be at the church from 11-1 PM on Monday.  Suggested Memorial:  A Christian School of your choice.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
