Mr. David M. Baddis, age 71 years of Fremont, went to be with his Lord & Savior on Sunday evening, July 15, 2018. He was born on October 29, 1946 in Lakeview, Michigan to Bill & Betty (Griffis) Baddis. David was a US Marine Veteran of the Vietnam Era where he served in 2 tours, and he had been a long distance truck driver for over 30 years. He was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont, and he loved to support Fremont sporting events, especially those of his grandchildren. On July 10, 1971 he married Sharon Meyers and she survives him along with their twin sons: Ross (Alisa) Baddis of Fremont, Ryan Baddis of Fremont; 5 grandchildren: Zack, Bailey, Gabrie, Collin, & Dylan; his mother, Betty Morrison of Fremont; 2 sisters: Sharon (Frank) Langley of Fremont, Theresa Nelson of Fremont; sisters-in-law: Dawn (Gil) Taylor of Fremont, Lorraine (Don) Portenga of Grand Haven, Joy Meyers of Fremont; and by several nieces & nephews. David was preceded in death by his father, Bill Baddis; by his brother, Gordon Baddis; and by his brother-in-law, Lorren Meyers. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont with Rev. Drew Sweetman officiating. There will also be a time of visiting with the family at the church from 10-11 AM on Thursday.
