Mr. David Lee Truax, age 74 years of White Cloud, passed away early Friday morning, March 16, 2018 at his residence. He was born on May 20, 1943 in Homer, Michigan to Robert & Betty Truax. David attended First Reformed Church in Fremont, he had been employed by the Shack for the past 15 years, and he enjoyed fishing & hunting. On June 24, 2006 he married Mary Smith Alber and she survives him along with 4 children: Betty Jean Deringer of Arizona, Jimmy Lee (Karen) DeGraaf of Grand Rapids, Shawn Truax of Grand Rapids, Autumn Daniels of Florida; 3 step-children: Michelle (Tim) Webster of Middleville, MI., Patrick (Cassie) Alber of Holland, MI., Sarah Bellis of Tennessee; 15 grandchildren & several great grandchildren; sisters & brothers: Florence Murphy of White Cloud, James (Sharon) Truax of Battle Creek, MI., William (Joan) Truax of White Cloud, Kathy (Peter) VanBoxel of White Cloud, Pat (Zvonko) Andelkovic of Lowell, MI.; and by many nieces & nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at First Reformed Church in Fremont (348 E. Main Street) with Pastor Kevin Schutt officiating. Visitation will also be at the church from 12-1 PM on Tuesday. Interment will be at Big Prairie-Everett Twp. Cemetery.
