Dolores Ann (Hilton) Ennis

Mrs. Dolores Ann (Hilton) Ennis, 88, loving wife, mother, & grandmother of Newaygo, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, January 30, 2019.  She was born on August 23, 1930 in Fremont, Michigan to Elgin & Marie (Schultz) Hilton.  Dolores had been employed by Gerber Products Company for 30 years until her retirement in 1986.  She was a member of Fremont Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) where she had been a member of the ladies aid, and she had been an active volunteer for NCCS where she made over 2000 mittens.  On November 4, 1950 she married Leo C. Ennis in Newaygo and he survives her along with 4 children:  Larry (Beth) Ennis of Vassar, MI., Shelley Mills of Fremont, Pamela (Butch) Frens of Newaygo, Joyce (Steven Jahr) Ennis of Alden, MI.; 12 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, & 1 great great granddaughter; 2 sisters-in-law:  Madeline Kunnen of Muskegon, Ethelyn (Eddie) Kunnen of Fremont; and by many nieces & nephews.  Dolores was preceded in death by her brother, Leonard Hilton; by her sisters, Tammy Kempton & Wilma Welch; and by a special nephew, Phillip Kempton.  According to her wishes cremation has taken place  and a Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Fremont Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) with Rev. David Dickinson officiating.  A luncheon & time to visit with the family will immediately follow the service at the church.  Interment will be in the Spring at Garfield Township Cemetery.  Suggested Memorial:  Fremont Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
