Doris "Edna" (Schaefer) McCastle

Mrs. Doris "Edna" McCastle, age 78 of Holton, went to her Heavenly Home on Wednesday morning, July 31, 2019.  She was born on September 9, 1940 in Muskegon, Michigan to Herbert & Doris (Hiller) Schaefer.  Edna had been a cosmetologist at Martha's Beauty Shop in Norton Shores, and she had been the manager of Di's Hallmark in Muskegon for 13 years until her retirement in 1999.  She was a member of Holton United Methodist Church, and she had been active in the DeColores Community.  She had also been a member of the Holton School Board.  Edna was married to William Seaben in 1962 and he preceded her in death in 1979.  She married Ronald McCastle in 1987 and he survives her along with 5 children:  Tessa (Craig) McFarland of Muskegon, Lisa (Frank) Sprague of Norton Shores, William (Sue) Seaben of Newaygo, Amy (Kirk) Younts of Holton, David (Michelle) McCastle of Holton; 15 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren; 2 sisters:  Kathleen (John) Schaefer of Muskegon, Sheila (William) Baldwin of Fruitport; and 1 brother, William (Peggy) Schaefer of Muskegon.  Edna was also preceded in death by her parents. According to her wishes cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Holton United Methodist Church with Pastor Matt Stoll officiating.  There will also be a time of visiting with the family at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home in Fremont from 5-8 PM on Monday.  Suggested Memorial:  Holton United Methodist Church.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
