Edgar "Ed" Hilton Hull

Mr. Edgar "Ed" Hilton Hull, age 97 years of Kentwood, passed away on Saturday evening, September 17, 2016 surrounded by his loved ones at Spectrum Health Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids.  He was born on September 6, 1919 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Clayton & Yvonne (Tuttle) Hull.  Ed had served in the US Navy, Army, and Coast Guard, and he was a veteran of World War II.  He was a lifetime member of the William Alden Smith DAV Chapter 2, and he was a member of the Grand Rapids American Legion Post #208.  Ed was blessed to be able to go on the Mid-Michigan Honor Flight on June 24, 2014 with his special friend, Diane McBurnett.  He had been employed by Steelcase for 38 years until his retirement in 1984, and he loved to bowl & fish.  Ed liked to help people and make them laugh.  He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Connie D. (Fischer) Hull of Kentwood; children by choice, twins Lonnie Brown & Bonnie Passage both of Grand Rapids; several grandchildren & great grandchildren; mother-in-law, Loraine Fischer of Fremont; sister-in-law, Debbie (Larry) Brant; and many special nieces & nephews.  Ed was preceded in death by his brother, Wyman Hull; sister, Helen Patricia Dewey; father-in-law, Jack Fischer; and sister-in-law, Jacki Fischer.  The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at First Congregational Church of Fremont (714 Hillcrest Drive) with Rev.
