Effie Eileen (Christensen) Ferguson

Effie Eileen Ferguson, age 83 of Twin Lake, MI., passed away August 7, 2019 at her home following an illness.  Eileen was born June 2, 1936 in Muskegon, MI. to Carl and Catherine (Tomaszewski) Christensen.  Eileen graduated from Holton High School in 1954.  She married Glen Ferguson on April 23, 1955.  Eileen enjoyed gardening and canning her own vegetables and fruits for her family to enjoy throughout the winter months.  Eileen loved the outdoors and watching wildlife.  Glen and Eileen traveled to Canada most summers for vacations and had the opportunity to travel to Alaska three times, which they enjoyed so much.  Eileen is survived by her husband of 64 years, Glen; her children:  Deb Ferguson (David Pearson) of Twin Lake, MI., Wes Ferguson of Twin Lake, MI., Lynn (Harry) Braafhart of Fremont, MI.; grandchildren:  Sara Ferguson of Twin Lake, MI., Britney Braafhart (fiance Daniel Durham & his daughter Railee Durham) of Fremont, MI., Harry Braafhart of Fremont, MI.; great grandchild, Wesley Cunningham.  Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, and by her siblings:  Elizabeth Hansen, Elmer Burns, Catherine Maynard, and Carl Christensen.  The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Holton United Methodist Church with Pastor Matt Stoll officiating.  Visitation will also be at the church from 10-11 AM on Tuesday.  Interment will be in Oakwood-Holton Cemetery.  Suggested Memorial:  Spectrum Health Hospice.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
