Miss Elanore M. "Tommie" Thompson, age 90 of Fremont, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at her residence in Sun City, Arizona. She was born on November 13, 1928 in White Cloud, Michigan to Norman & Alvina (Allers) Thompson. Elanore had been a professor of physical education at Delta College for 25 years until her retirement in 1986, and she was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont. She was an avid golfer, she enjoyed hunting & fishing, going to the casino, and she was a Michigan State fan. Elanore is survived by her sisters & brothers: Loretta (Steve) Olesczcuk, Jean Hecksel, Daniel Thompson, Jay (Barb) Thompson, Glen (Molly) Thompson, Gordon (Diane) Thompson; and by many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her sisters: Bea Fitzgerald, Hazel Luedeman, Elsie Tanis, Lois Pietila; and by her brother, Norman Thompson, Jr. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont with Fr. Peter Omogo officiating. Visitation will also be at church from 10-11 AM on Tuesday. Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont. Suggested Memorial: American Cancer Society.
