Mrs. Emma Tibbe, age 70, of Waupun WI and formerly of Fremont passed away peacefully on February 8, 2019 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac after a three year battle with melanoma skin cancer.
She was born March 15, 1948 to Gerrit and Antonia (Nieveen) Nieman. On September 1, 1967 she married Dale Tibbe in Fremont. She retired from Bethany Christian Services in 2013 after 24 years of service. Through the years she has enjoyed her hobbies of sewing, gardening, craft shows, and farm toy shows. She truly enjoyed and loved her grandchildren, a.k.a. "the kids". She was a member of Grace United Reformed Church in Waupun, and she was formerly a member of Bethel Reformed OPC in Fremont.
Emma is survived by her husband Dale, her son Greg (Tara) Tibbe of Waupun, her daughter Cyndee Tibbe Luell of Circle Pines, MN, and her grandchildren Nathan, Elyse, Joshua, Ava and Abigail Tibbe, and Trexler Luell. Her sister Trya (Dennis) Darling of LaRiviere, Manitoba Canada, her brother John (Terri) Nieman of Saylorsburg, PA, her brother Mike (Dyan) Nieman of Charlotte, NC, and her brothers and sisters-in-law Helene Buitendorp of Muskegon, Geraldine Deuling of Newaygo, Jim DuRose of Muskegon, Barb (Stan) Stroven of Fremont, Jim (Sue) Tibbe of Fremont, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Gerrit and Toni Nieman, brothers and sisters-in-law Art and Arlene Tibbe, Joe Buitendorp, Fritz Deuling, Joyce DuRose and Maxine Tibbe.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 15, 2019 at First Reformed Church in Fremont with Pastor Vern Picknally officiating. Visitation will be at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home from 4-6:30 PM on Thursday, and at the church from 10-11 AM on Friday. Interment will be in the Spring at Reeman Cemetery.
