Mr. Gaylord W. Crandall, age 76 of Fremont, went to be with his Lord & Savior early Friday morning, October 4, 2019. He was born on September 7, 1943 in Fremont, Michigan to Willis F. & Winifred G. (Pekel) Crandall. Gaylord was a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam Era. He had been a mail carrier in Fremont for many years until his retirement, and he was a member of Inspire Church, a Wesleyan Community (formerly Fremont Wesleyan Church). Gaylord is survived by 5 children: Polly Crandall, Thaddeus (Lori Taylor) Crandall, Martin Crandall, Joan Crandall, Amanda (Mark) Moore; 5 grandchildren: Devon, Rowan, Christopher, Galen, & Griffen; 3 sisters: Wanda (Roger) Eitniear, Yvonne Hall, & Beth Crandall; and by many nieces & nephews. He is also survived by his former wives, Wanda & Nancy. Gaylord was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Brenda Crandall; brother-in-law, Warren Richard Hall; and by his first wife Joan. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Inspire Church, a Wesleyan Community (formerly Fremont Wesleyan Church), with Pastor Greg Johnson officiating. There will be a luncheon and time to visit with the family in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service. Suggested Memorial: The Alzheimer's Association.
