Gladys Elizabeth (Laisure) Dykman

Mrs. Gladys Elizabeth Dykman, age 95 of Fremont, went to her Heavenly Home on Friday evening, July 20, 2018 from the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont.  She was born on February 20, 1923 in Branch, Michigan to Ora & Ruth (Johnston) Laisure.  Gladys was a member of First Baptist Church in Fremont, and she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, & making crafts.  She also loved flowers, baking, playing the piano, & camping.  On April 10, 1942 she married Laurence Dykman and he preceded her in death on January 1, 2014.  She was also preceded in death by her sister Grace Laisure, and by her brother Ora Laisure.  Gladys is survived by 6 children:  Wayne (Janet) Dykman of Fremont, Marilyn (Ray) Cargill of Fremont, Roger (Geraldine) Dykman of Fremont, Dale (Linda) Dykman of Holland, MI., Janis (Steven) Bennett of Lowell, MI, Allan Dykman of Fremont; 15 grandchildren & 37 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Jack Laisure; and 3 sisters:  Joyce Rottman, Donna (Don) Eaton, & Dorothy Murphy.  The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 23, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Fremont with Pastor Steve Summerfield officiating.  Visitation will also be at the church from 10-11 AM on Monday.  Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.  Suggested Memorial:  Cornerstone Christian Academy.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
