Gregory Hood Obituary

Mr. Gregory R. Hood, age 62 of Grant, passed away on Saturday morning, October 26, 2019 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI.  He was born on September 3, 1957 in Compton, California to Earl & Marie (Berry) Hood.  Greg was a US Army Veteran.  He was currently employed by Cedar Valley Packing in Grant, and he attended First Baptist Church of Newaygo.  Greg enjoyed bowling, fishing, and NASCAR.  He is survived by 2 daughters:  Diane & Jeremy Goryl of Norton Shores, MI., Marie & Thomas Stuckey of Austin, Texas; 1 grandson, Dylan Goryl; his mother, Marie Hood of Grant, MI.; sisters & brothers:  Tina & Don Ingell, Roger Hood (Girlfriend, Christin) & his son Domanic, Tim & Julie; and by his former wife & friend, Barbara Collins.  Greg was preceded in death by his father Earl Hood, and by his nephew Ricky.  According to his wishes cremation has taken place, and there will be a time to gather with his family from 11-11:30 AM on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Newaygo Fellowship Hall.  A remembrance of his life will begin at 11:30 in the Fellowship Hall led by Pastor Tim Shaw, and will be followed by a luncheon and time to further visit with his family until 2 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to a charity of your choice.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
