Mr. Ivory A. Jordan, age 86 of Fremont, passed away on Tuesday morning, July 2, 2019 at the Newaygo County Compassion Home in White Cloud. He was born on August 2, 1932 in Grant, Michigan to Thomas & Ethel (Morrison) Jordan. He was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War, and he was a member of the Newaygo VFW Post #4249. Ivory had been employed for many years as a foreman at McInerney Spring & Wire Company in Grand Rapids until his retirement. He was a former member of the Fremont Moose Lodge #1555, and he loved fishing and going South in the winter. On August 20, 1983 he married Dorothy Knoll Graham and she survives him along with 5 children: Dan Jordan, Casey Jordan, Valerie (Doug) Bickle, Julie Womble, & Jodie; 8 grandchildren & 1 great granddaughter; 4 step-children: Richard (Sharon) Graham, Dawn Billing, Jon (Sherry) Graham, Eldon (Maria) Graham; 6 step-grandchildren & 5 step-great grandchildren; sisters & brothers: Fern TenBrink, Gerald Jordan, Donna (Jim) Johnson, & Jesse Jordan. He was preceded in death by his step-granddaughter Emma Graham, by his brother David "Buck" Jordan, & by his sister Iris Scribner. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a time of visiting with the family at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home from 1-3 PM on Saturday, July 13, 2019. A luncheon will immediately follow the visitation at the Newaygo United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Newaygo Cemetery.
