Jane Louise (Macomber) Heckman

Mrs. Jane Louise Heckman, age 89 of Fremont, passed away on Saturday evening, March 31, 2018 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont after a long illness.  She was born on October 7, 1928 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota to Frank G. & Lena May (Pratt) Macomber.  Along with her husband Marshall, Jane had owned M & L Cafe in Fremont from 1978 - 1986.  She is survived by 4 daughters:  Donna (Sidney) Clark, Percilla Zuniga, Wendy Huitron, Ellen (Francis) Hicks; 1 son, Leslie Bergquist; step-children:  Eugene (Darlene) Bergquist, Richard (Betty) Bergquist, Alvernus (Theresa) Bergquist, Peggy Portrey, Janet Holstine, Susan Wilcoxson, Steven Heckman; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, & great great grandchildren; many step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, & step-great great grandchildren; and by many nieces & nephews.  Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Heckman on July 17, 1998; by her step-daughter, Bonnie Hammond; by 1 granddaughter & 1 grandson; and by 10 brothers & 3 sisters.  The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home with Steve Bedgood officiating.  Visitation will also be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12-1 PM.  Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
