Joyce L. (DeVold) Slocum

Mrs. Joyce L. Slocum, age 98 years of Fremont, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Transitional Health Services of Fremont.  She was born on May 20, 1919 in Ely Township, Marquette County, Michigan to Oscar A. & Ida Mae (Adams) DeVold.  Joyce had previously been employed in the housekeeping department at Gerber Products Company in Fremont.  She is survived by her daughter, Marlene Reed of White Cloud; her son, William Slocum of Holton; her son-in-law, Donald Walton of Holton; 5 grandchildren:  Donna Mae (Bruce) LaMay, Sonya Jean Walton, Calvin Jay Walton, Daina Renee Slocum, & Gideon Slocum; and 3 great grandchildren:  Kendra, Katelynn, & Leon.  Joyce was preceded in death by her daughter Doris Walton on March 19, 2008, by her son-in-law Kenneth Richard Reed, by her granddaughter Joyce Lorraine Reed, and by her sister Jeanette Laramour.  There will be no visitation or service.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.
