I knew Mr. Kevin Dean Witte he was one of the best teachers ever at Holland Christian school and I would always stop to say hi to him and we would talk he was a great person and he will be total missed sorry for your loss and he will be missed but never forgotten

What a tragedy in the loss of Kevin. I personally didnt know him but just reading and hearing the news just breaks my heart. Praying for God to help heal your pain which is a hard task to deal with but along with God help it will take time, rebuild your emptiness to move on.

I vividly remember learning 2 important words in the 7th grade. "Discernment" and "worldview". Both incredibles concepts introduce to me by Mr. Witte. The obituary speaks truth in that he not only taught me things to think but how to do it discernibly and on a global scale, taking into account and appreciating the thousands of worldviews out there.

Our daughter Jenifer was in his 3rd hour World Cultures class and misses him so much and his big smile and patient ear when she needed counsel. While I (Velva) did not have the opportunity to get to know Kevin real well, he has made an impact in our family's life through Holland Christian. Our son was blessed to be in Kevin's classes there but I also had the opportunity to substitute for him on several occasions. One time, he had a book sitting on his desk so I picked it up and started reading it out of curiosity. The book made such an impact in that short time I went out and bought my own copy of "Deep Justice in a Broken World" by Chap Clark and Kara E. Powell and have been working to find a way to help my church begin to work toward this deeper justice with the homeless.
God be with you and surround you with His peace--a peace that is only possible though a relationship with Him.

To the Witte family - I did not know Kevin, or any of you but saw the FB page that was started right after the accident. I have a son who was born 9/79, and also married in 2004 just like Kevin, and this touched my very core. I have prayed for Kevin before he entered paradise, and since have prayed for his family and friends. I will continue to pray and one thing I will pray for is that long after he has been gone, his friends and family would remember his wife and children and stay in touch. Right now they will be surrounded by so many hundreds of people loving on them and praying for them, but the time will pass and people will naturally move on. Please stay in touch with them in word and deed and prayer. My sincere condolences to the family and though we all rejoice that he is with Jesus, the ultimate prize, we know his presence will be missed in a devastating way here on earth. I want to come to the visitation but will be at the visitation for my grandmother. My thoughts and prayers are with you every day. I remember chatting with you at Crane's a week before the accident, I hope your kids can cherish those family memories. My heart breaks for you all, you are not alone.
