My deepest condolences to you, the family of Lance; he touched many lives here at Kendall.

I've only had the pleasure of knowing Lance for the last two years or so, and only got to spend one hour with him two times a year for his dental cleanings. He quickly became one of my favorite patients as he was so interesting and easy to talk to. We often talked about our kids and it was obvious that he thought the world of his daughter. I loved filling him in on stories of my son and hearing his memories of Simone at those young ages. I was looking forward to seeing him soon to hear of his big bike trip he took this summer. I always looked forward to the days that his name was on my schedule and I will really miss seeing him on my schedule in the future.
Sending love and hugs to Lance's family and all those close to him. He really was something special. May he live on in your hearts forever.

Lance and I earned our MFA degrees in drawing together at KCAD. He had such a wonderful spirit... he was insightful, kind-hearted, amazingly talented, and genuinely cared about helping others to grow in their artistic practice. He turned me on to the writings of Joseph Campbell, who is to this day, a favorite author and thinker in regards to the human spirit. The earth is less without his unique personality and his incredible talents. You will be deeply missed, dear Lance. Thank you for sharing your light with this world. I'm so sorry you had to leave us so soon.

To the Moon Family,
Lance was one of my first students in the visual imaging technology program at NCCTC. Although he was in my half of the printing program as part of the exploratory process, it was obvious he was destined to be a fine artist. He did not make any less effort or disrespect the art and science of printing or me. He was mature beyond his years and I took an immediate liking to him. Later we reacquainted as adults through social media and became friends. He was one of the most likable, kind, thoughtful, and humorous individuals I have had the privilege to know and I will forever miss that next ride with him. My most sincere condolences to you during this most difficult time. You raised a saint.

I became aquatinted with Lance during his time as an undergrad at Kendall. As a maintenance dept worker, I occasionally had to relieve the guard at the reception desk. Lance would sometimes come by and chat. I enjoyed talking with him about his painting, and would offer encouragement, because he was sort of a perfectionist. He gave me a double landscape painting that he wasn't happy with, which i was thrilled to get. It hangs above my bed to this day. Yeah, that said to me how nice and thoughtful Lance was. I was glad to see him return as a grad student. I'll miss him and his family has my deepest sympathy.

I only just met Lance in early 2016, he made a call and asked to stop in to present his product to me, I accepted because of his politeness, after meeting with him I went home that day to tell my wife how impressed I was by this young , very prepared, and polite salesman, I have been placing our hardware orders with him since, I have been meeting people this way for almost 40 years, and it is not very often you meet someone that sets apart from the crowd, Lance truly was one of them, I will sincerely miss him. With deep sorrow for your loss. Nils

To Lance's family: Lance was a year ahead of me in high school. We didn't run in the same circle of friends. But, through technology and social media, over the years, we got to know each other. He was one of the nicest, kindest, individuals I've ever met. When I would come up from Iowa to visit my parents in Fremont, if I would run into Lance out and about, I would visit with him and catch up a little bit. He was very easy to like, and was full of life. His motorcycle trips to Canada were a joy to follow and I'm so happy that he experienced those. He made the world a better place. Sending prayers and hugs to all of you.
