Lucille "Lucy" A. (Klassen) Poll

Mrs. Lucille (Lucy) Poll went to be with her Lord & Savior on Monday, May 22, 2017.  She was born to Peter & Anna Klassen on May 30, 1929 in Fremont and attended Packard Grade School.  She graduated from Fremont High School in 1947 and attended Calvin College.  She was a life long member of First Christian Reformed Church where she taught Catechism & Sunday School classes, worked with Project Philip & the Friendship programs, sang in the choir, attended Mary Martha Society, and worked with numerous committees.  She taught elementary classes at Fremont Christian School and retired from Graichen's Department Store where she worked for 10 years.  Lucille enjoyed reading, traveling, music, and spending time with her family, especially watching the grandchildren grow up.  On March 23, 1951 she married John (JB) Poll and he preceded her in death on January 10, 2011.  She is survived by her children:  Rod (Gail) Poll, Sherry Poll, and Judy (Tom) Droste; grandchildren:  Amy (Matt) Busscher, Mark (Caitlin) Poll, Sam Poll, Annelise & Trey Droste, & Madison Poll.  She is also survived by many nieces & nephews & special friends.  Lucy was preceded in death by her sisters:  Nella Witte, Margaret Pell, Cornelia Luchies, & Frances Bultman; brothers, Marvin & Andy Klassen; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Burt & Rena Poll; sisters-in-law, Helene Kolk & Julia Breuker; and by her brothers-in-law, Harvey Smalligan & Bemis Poll.  The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont (721 Hillcrest Drive) with Pastor Drew Sweetman officiating.  Visitation will also be at the church from 10-11 AM on Thursday.  Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to World Renew (Missions), or the First Christian Reformed Church Endowment Fund at the Fremont Area Community Foundation.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
