Margaret A. (Weigand) Ireland

Mrs. Margaret A. Ireland, age 86 years of Grand Haven & formerly of Fremont, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at North Ottawa Community Hospital in Grand Haven.  She was born on October 21, 1931 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to Anton & Lorraine (Hansen) Weigand.  Margaret had been a Paraprofessional at Daisy Brook & Fremont Middle School for many years until her retirement.  She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Grand Haven, and she was a former member of All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont.  Margaret enjoyed reading & spending time with her grandchildren.  On February 20, 1960 she married Donald Ireland and he preceded her in death on February 22, 1986.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers:  William Weigand, Elmer & Leo Freda; and by her sisters:  Dorothy Utecht, Gertrude Weigand, & Marion Dake.  She is survived by 4 children:  Patrick Ireland of Chicago, IL., Kerry Ireland of Bitburg, Germany, Daniel (Nancy) Ireland of Grand Haven, MI., Tracey (Mike) Hummer of Byron Center, MI.; 6 grandchildren:  Kirk & Kaitlyn Miller, Megan & Andrew Ireland, Kathleen & Connor Hummer; 1 sister, Ruth Weigand of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; and by several nieces & nephews.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 30, 2017 at All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont (500 Iroquois Drive) with Fr. Sahaya Stanly as Celebrant.  Visitation will also be at the church from 10-11 AM on Monday.  Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.  Suggested Memorial:  American Heart Association.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
