Mrs. Mary Irene Antor, age 89 years of Fremont, passed away on Friday evening, June 22, 2018 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. She was born on July 26, 1928 in Wyoming, Michigan to Jacob & Maude (Albright) Deering. She had been employed at the General Motors Plant in Grand Rapids for many years until her retirement. She was married to Arnold "Pete" Antor and he preceded her in death on December 11, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her son, James Antor on January 3, 2016 and by his wife Barb; by her twin sister Mary Ilene Deering, and by her sister Joan & her husband Orville Hazen; and by her brothers: Charles "Bud" Deering, Dale & his wife Betty Deering. Survivors include 2 sisters & 1 brother: Thelma Deering of Byron Center, MI., Jack (Noma) Deering of Newaygo, MI., Helen Deering of Byron Center, MI.; and by several nieces & nephews including a special niece, Joyce (Steven) Farrell of Byron Center, MI. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Comstock Park (1200 Alpine Church Rd, NW) with Fr. Tom Simons as Celebrant, and interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
