Mary Lou Hodge Obituary

Mrs. Mary Lou Hodge, age 91 of Hesperia & formerly of South Haven, went to be with her Lord & Savior on Thursday morning, June 20, 2019.  She was born on August 17, 1927 in South Haven, Michigan to William Jacob & Ella (Quinn) Diebold.  Mary Lou had been employed by Hamlin-Overton Frame Company in South Haven, and she was a member of Hesperia United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed crocheting and needle point.  She was married to John W. Hodge, Sr. for 42 years until he preceded her in death in 1986.  She was also preceded in death by 5 brothers:  Jack, Bill Jr., John "Martin", Eugene, & Paul Diebold.  Mary Lou is survived by her son, John (Patricia) Hodge, Jr. of South Haven & their family:  John (Vicki) Hodge III & their children Ethan & Haley, Richard (Monica) Hodge & their children Taylor & Loren.  She is also survived by her son, Robert (Nancy) Hodge of Hesperia and their 5 children, 17 grandchildren, & 11 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her special friend, June Sanborn of Hesperia.  According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Hesperia United Methodist Church with Pastor Paul Hane officiating.  There will also be a time of visiting with the family at the church from 1-2 PM on Saturday.  Suggested Memorial:  Hesperia United Methodist Church.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
