Max H. Luchies

Mr. Max H. Luchies, age 89 of Fremont, went to be with his Lord & Savior on Monday afternoon, July 15, 2019.  He was born on November 29, 1929 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Max was the adopted son of Herman & Dena (Pell) Luchies.  He had been a dairy farmer, he worked at Cook & Hager, and he had owned & operated Luchies Seeds.  He was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont.  Max loved fishing, as well as playing cards and dominoes.  On January 10, 1951 he married Ann A. Tubbergen and she survives him along with 5 children:  Lavonda Smith, Keven (Judy) Luchies, Gael (Jan) Luchies, Craig (Sharon) Luchies, Jeff (Terri) Luchies; 14 grandchildren & 32 great grandchildren; and 1 sister, Laura VanderZee.  Max was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Ann Grabill.  There will be a luncheon & time to visit with the family from 12-2 PM on Monday, July 22, 2019 in the Fellowship Hall of First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to Fremont Christian School.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
