Nadine (Compton) Tennant

Nadine Tennant went home to be with her Lord on October 22, 2018. She was born May 8, 1942, in Peach Orchard, Arkansas to Charles and Wanda Compton. She married Arthur Tennant on November 25, 1959, in Shelby, Michigan.

Nadine worked as a custodian for Shelby Public Schools for 13 years where she encouraged many young people with her love, compassion, and sense of humor. She was an avid reader and loved gardening, making floral arrangements, painting and crafts. Her love for her family was second only to that of the Lord.

She is survived by her husband, Art Tennant of Fremont, 2 daughters, Pamela (Paul) King of Ironwood and Laurel Lozano of Hesperia; 5 grand children, Marina (Juan) Billaba of Hesperia, Ashley Lozano of Kalamazoo, Craig (Robyn) Sietsema of Ironwood, Amber (Wesley) Erickson of Ironwood, and Katrina Nielsen of Ironwood; 12 great grandchildren, Rebeka, Seth, Kirsten, Ryan, Emma, Garrett, Alaina, Kailynn, Weston, Madison, Walker, and Wyatt; 1 brother, Ron (Leida) Compton of Fremont; 4 sisters, Joyce (Jim) Campbell of Fremont, Mary (Randy) Page of Brookland AR, Peggy Gutierrez of Corning, AR, and Rosa Lea {Ronald) Parrish of Arkansas, plus many beloved nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home in Fremont wit Pastor Steve Summerfield officiating.  Visitation will also be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-3 PM.  Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.  Suggested Memorial:  Heartland Hospice - Newaygo County.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.
