Nancy Lou (Hager) Deters

Mrs. Nancy Lou Deters, age 84 years of Jenison & formerly of Fremont, joined family and friends who rest in the arms of our Lord on Wednesday morning, October 4, 2017.  She was born on August 16, 1933 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Clarence & Jean (Hoolsema) Hager.  Nancy had been the bookkeeper for Deters Heating & Cooling in Fremont, she was a member of Second Christian Reformed Church in Fremont, and she had attended Ridgewood Christian Reformed Church in Jenison.  She enjoyed traveling & golfing.  On February 18, 1955 she married Lee Deters and he preceded her in death on September 16, 1988.  She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kim Frye on August 1, 1987; by her brothers, Dave Hager & Roger Hoolsema; and by her sisters, Mary Westra & Lois Hager.  Nancy is survived by her children:  Terry (Ramona) Deters of Fremont, Kathy (Scott) Hagan of Grand Rapids; son-in-law, Norm Frye of Three Rivers; 5 grandchildren:  Ashleigh (Scott) Vogel, Chase (Lauren) Deters, Nick (Melissa) Frye, Ben (Ashley) Frye, & Sarah Hagan; 3 great grandchildren:  Addison & Elise Vogel, & Wyatt Frye; 1 brother, Larry (Jane) Hager of Jenison; and sisters-in-law:  Dot Hager of Jenison, Pat Hoolsema of Coopersville, & Laurie Deters of Grand Rapids.  A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 9, 2017 at Second Christian Reformed Church in Fremont (600 Apache Drive) with Pastor Nancy Boote officiating.  A luncheon will immediately follow the service at church.  There will also be a time of visiting with the family at the church from 9:30-11:00 AM on Monday.  Suggested Memorials:  International Aid, or The Fremont Christian School Endowment Fund at the Fremont Area Community Foundation.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
