Neva Mae (Johnson) Barr

Mrs. Neva Mae Barr, age 95 of Hesperia, joined her husband in Heaven on Thursday morning, March 7, 2019 from the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont.  She was born on September 1, 1923 in Fremont, Michigan to Elmer G. & Celia (Carpenter) Johnson.  Neva was a US Army Veteran of World War II, and she was a member of Hesperia United Methodist Church.  On November 4, 1945 she married Joe Earl Barr and he preceded her in death on April 19, 2005.  She is survived by 3 daughters:  Esther (James) Wolcott of Holton, MI., Dolores (Bill Hamilton) Howe of Auburn, MI., Carol (William) Mollett of Fennville, MI.; 10 grandchildren & many great grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.  A private family graveside service will be held in the Spring at East Hesperia Cemetery.  Suggested Memorial:  Spectrum Health Hospice.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
