Mr. Paul P. Roach, age 83 years of Twin Lake, lost the battle with his fight against cancer on Wednesday evening, May 16, 2018 at his home. The family would like to thank Harbor Hospice for their care during this time. He was born on March 17, 1935 in Branch, Michigan to Claude I. & Elizabeth G. (Moon) Roach. Paul was a US Marine Veteran of the Korean War, and he had been employed at Muskegon Piston Ring for 34 years until his retirement in 1986. He had been a member of the Holton American Legion Post & the White Cloud Eagles, and he was a life member of the Fremont VFW Post. Paul had been a little league baseball coach, a camp host at the VFW Campground at Diamond Lake, and he enjoyed camping, hunting, & fishing. On June 2, 1961 he married Alice J. Bean and she survives him along with 3 children: Debbie (Gary) Trygstad of Holton, Dennis (Shiloh) Roach of Holton, Duane (Michelle) Roach of Holton; 13 grandchildren & 9 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Barbara Bragg of Florida; 1 brother, Mitchell Roach of Nevada; and by many nieces & nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; by his granddaughter, Heather Roach; by his grandson, Josiah Sutton; by his brothers: Miles, Dennis, Tom, & David Roach; and by his sisters: Catherine Nickett, Mary Ann Wilavage, Effie May Sieczka, Martha Buckhout, & Rebecca Hopkins. There will be no visitation and a Memorial Service with Military Rites will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 21, 2018 at the Holton American Legion Post, immediately followed by a luncheon.
