Ruth A. (Weaver) Holmes

Mrs. Ruth A. Holmes, age 64 years of Fremont, passed away on Monday morning, October 17, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Muskegon.  She was born on October 30, 1951 in Fremont, Michigan to Harold J. & Burnetta (Maat) Weaver.  Ruth had been a First Grade teacher at White Cloud Elementary School for 37 years until her retirement in 2010, and she loved to play golf.  On June 19, 1976 she married Fred Holmes and he survives her along with 2 daughters:  Melissa (Allan) Yaklin of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Michelle Holmes of Mason, Michigan; 2 grandchildren, Natalie & Noah Yaklin; her mother, Burnetta Weaver of Fremont; 1 sister, Linda Hughes of of Fremont; 1 brother, David (Tamara) Weaver of Fremont; her sisters-in-law & brother-in-law:  Brenda (Cas) Remus of Florida, Jeff (Jeri) Holmes of North Carolina, Carol Willard of Arkansas; and many nieces & nephews.  Ruth was preceded in death by her father, Harold J. Weaver.  A celebration of Ruth's life will take place at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home.  There will be a time of visiting with the family at the funeral home from 1-2 PM on Sunday.  Suggested Memorial:  The White Cloud Elementary School Library.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
