Shirley M. (Fuller) Lance

Shirley M. Lance, 84 of Big Rapids, passed from life Oct 26th, 2018 at Spectrum Hospital in Big Rapids. Born July 15, 1934 to Carl Bertrand Fuller and Doris La Vern Adams Fuller.  She was predeceased by her brothers Walter, Roy (Betty) , Lawerence (Dawn) Fuller, one sister Esther Fuller Decker, 1/2 brothers Harold (Kathy, surviving) and Roger Bearup, one son Richard John Baumgartner, husbands Thomas H Baumgartner and Mevin Leroy Lance, as well as by a grandson Daniel Cory.  Surviving her are brothers Carl & Sharlynn, and Dale Fuller, as well as one sister Pat and  Richard Hughy.  Surviving children are, Linda &  Barry Bazaire, Ellen Throop, Dan Baumgartner. Becky Canavan & Brian Dushane, Tom Baumgartner, Lydia & Joe Thatcher,Philip & Cathy Baumgartner,  LouAnn & Ove Graham as well as many grandchildren and  great grandchildren.  Shirley was a very loyal servant of Jehovah being baptized about 64 yrs ago. As one of Jehovah’s Witness, she shared her belief in the Bible with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  As a result she has 2 baptized daughters and 3 baptized grandsons as well as a grand daughter in law. She loved all her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren so very much. She also loved animals and liked watching animal planet as well as Michigan out of Doors when she lived in Newaygo,  sharing what she learned, and often talked about her special dog, Georgie, who lived over 15 yrs. She recently moved from Newaygo to Big Rapids to be near her Doctors and in a home easier for her to care for due to failing health. She will be missed by everyone who met and knew her. A sweet lady is everyone’s description of her, and she was the best little baker in White Cloud where she drew the kids to her door for fresh baked bread. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at The Fork Township Community Center (3265 20 Mile Road, Barryton, Michigan 49305) with Elder Burt Schoder officiating, followed by a luncheon until 3 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the funeral home to help with expenses, and any excess funds will be sent to the Age Commission in Mecosta County.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.
